After Kinetic Fall became famous after uploading small videos on YouTube the viral sensation has admits his life has become fragmented because of social media. After coming out rehab in 2014 and the nation turning on him he wants to set the record straight.
How easy was it to adjust to life after coming out of rehab in 2014?
Well, it wasn’t easy I had to make reparations with a lot of my family members and friends, the party scene was my whole life and nothing else mattered. It was hard to get out of the habit of going out every night and drinking and doing drugs, social media didn’t help, I like to call it the monster under my bed, it made me look like a dickhead but they didn’t know the real reasons behind why I was acting crazy and wild. What I was doing wasn’t me and not who I was, coming to terms with the fact that I was hiding this massive secret that I was scared of my entire life was hard and I needed something to turn to even it killed me.
How did you feel when the response was mostly positive?
It made me realise that I don’t give my fans enough credit , I basically almost turned my back on them in 2014 and didn’t thank them enough for sticking up for me. I think when I came out of rehab and was actually sober enough to see and read twitter I didn’t see why anyone would want to stick up for me and what I did. So when my fans were so supportive of me coming out I was overwhelmed.
Do you feel any compulsion to turn back to drugs and that party lifestyle?
I’m not going to lie and say to you its ready when it’s the hardest thig I’ve ever had to experience but I just take it day by day. I do miss the party life, but I know that my life will be more worth living if I keep my straight and focused on my music.
Why do you call social media the monster under your bed?
I remember when I was younger I used to terrified of what might be hiding under my bed, so I used to check then at the faintest noise I heard I would then run away. When social media started to turn on me I used to hide my laptop and my phone under my bed so I wouldn’t have to see what they wrote about me and when it made a noise when I got a message I would actually be scared.
What were your initial thoughts when you saw the pictures of you with your boyfriend on social media?
I didn’t know what to think, on the one hand I was relieved that It was out there and it was a burden off my shoulders, because sub concioussly I think I wanted it to happen because we were very discreet, not discreet enough to hide from the paparazzi. But on the other hand I had just gotten over my first social media scare I didn’t want another one.
How are you enjoying your new life with your boyfriend?
It’s great, I love it I’ve never been this happy and he makes sure I don’t get back to how I was before and makes sure I don’t get fazed by anything that I see on social media.
I’ve been wanting to ask you this for a while how did you come up for the name kinetic fall
That’s actually a funny story back in 2012 when I was uploading my first YouTube video I needed a name for my channel, and me and my mates were trying so hard to think of a name for so long I swear it was like two hours. Then my friend Nick just says ‘eurgh I can’t think of anything we’re in a kinetic fall’ and everyone was like what the fuck is that. Then it just stuck form then on, I have no idea how he came up with that turn of phrase, he was probably stoned I can’t remember.
Your new album is coming out soon; can you give any sneak peaks about what the songs are going to be about?
I can yes, I wanted to give this album a more personal touch because my other music was usually wrote when I was high or drunk, but this time I actually want to feel a connection to the music.

Strengths
I like that i have a variety of different poses for the each picture which enables me to have a lot of pictures and poses to choose from. So I can choose which one goes well with my double page spread the most.
Another strength is that I chose the appropriate clothes for the magazine. Which went well with the theme of the magazine, dark.
Weaknesses
A weakness of these pictures is that the pictures are a bit too blurry to use for my magazine. This is because i took the pictures inside which meant that there waasnt enough light to get a good picture.
I also dont like the neckless i gave the model, i dont think it goes with the outfit he is weaaring.
Furthermore i will also have to retake the pictures as they are too blurry for the magazine. The blurriness of the pictures wont reflect the professional look of the magazine.
Strengths
The new recent pictures that i took for my magazine i belive are a lot better than my previous shoot. I took the pictures outside which meant that there was good lighting in the picture instead of taking them inside. I also used a variety of poses, this to make the pictures look less boring.
Weaknesses
For these pictures i couldve used betters clothing, with fake piercings or tattoo sleves. This would then creae a more edgy look and reflect the personality of character i am writing about.
Strengths
A main strentgh of thse photos is that i liked the clothes I chise for my model to wear, tis is because it reflects the rock vide i was aiming for the magazine.As well as the my models hair which is cury and purposefully messy to match the magzines messy, grunge look. Furthermore I also liked that the lighting makes the pictures look clear and not blurry due to the fact that I took the pictures outside, this gives the photos a more professional look. These pictures also create a moody feel due to the models facial exression which expesses anger also reflecting the mood of a rock genre magazine.
Weakness
A main weakness of this shoot is that you can see the satilitte on the wall, this makes it look like it is taken against a wall of a house. This makes the picture look less proefessional and not magazine quality.
